Post 2 My First App Review of Amazon APP

Today I did a small review on the Amazon app. Amazon has changed the retail industry in a huge way since the initial launch 2011. The app is really user-friendly has a great UI (User Interface) this app is great for placing orders and tracking orders on the go. I use the app to price match items while I am in the store looking for the best possible deal.  What I have noticed with this latest update they did to the app some of the features have changed and made it a little more difficult to use. As an example when searching for an item it shows items that are mostly sponsored and have nothing to do with what I searched for it seems like it is more advertising than anything. I was doing some more research on the app to see if anyone else was having any issue and upon further review I have noticed a lot of users having similar issues with the pages not loading all the way, or issue with applying filters to their search, and getting errors when trying to tap on an item to add to cart. I have even read that this app has crashed on some users since the new update many users would like the old amazon app back. The amazon app also has other apps that are run in conjunction with amazon app such as amazon video (for prime user only), amazon audible, and amazon kindle fire app. The issue of crashing and running into search issues and common issue with the main amazon app when you click on certain items that would require you to use one of the other apps that are associated with the amazon app I have notice that it crash all the same. I have even interview some of my co-workers who use the app as well and some have had some problems with the app crashing and others say that they have had no issues with the app. So yet even though this is a very useful app I can see that it still has some bugs to work out especially with the new updates that are coming to apple IOS and Android Operating systems.

3 Things I think that can be improved on:
  1. The apps that are associated with amazon such as amazon audible which are run by amazon so allowing the customer the ability to purchase a book from the app instead of going to the website itself.
  2. Also, I think with everything going to bio-metrics authentication I think adding a fingerprint scanner or facial recognition authentication feature further there security for the App I believe this will also could be a quicker way of purchasing your items I your cart without the 1-click option.
  3. Being able to manage your account in the app like you can do on the website, for example: canceling your subscription, or adding/modifying to your subscription striaght from the app.
